The Last Rose

This teeny tiny bud decided to peek out as the weather turns cooler and autumn creeps in. A rose by any size smells as sweet to paraphrase the bard.

What a sweet last rose…and the color is perfect.

  2. Lyndi commented:

It’s pretty but still the picture looks so sad and lonely. I love the out-of-focus background.

  3. Babs - beetle commented:

Oh how lovely. Sad to see the last rose of the year, but at least we have something to look forward to next year!

@waterrose — I love this rosebush. It was given to me as a Mother’s Day gift and it has the most fragrant, albeit small blossoms on it.

@Lyndi — The bloom does look sad and lonely! And it’s TINY — no bigger than the nail on my pinkie although you don’t see that with the lens zoomed in like it is.

@Babs — thank you — I see this and can’t help but get Bette Midler singing “The Rose” in my mind.
