I love the oreo cows! They’re called Belties, short for Belted Galloway. There’s more than a few of them not far from me. And, umm, they make delicious roast beef sandwiches.
@LG Thanks for the information! That’s really cool to know. I just thought it was a regular old Angus that had something in the woodpile if you know what I mean 🙂 I need to go up the road to find the Scottish Shorthorns that are at another farm. Those are really interesting looking!
Oh, Lovely shot. You are right when you say cows are great to photograph. I have some much closer shots of some other cows up now. They are beautiful ;O)
@Babs – when I went by the pasture yesterday, there were some chocolate and white ones marked like this. I didn’t have my camera with me, so got no pictures, but the pasture is “just around the corner” from me (in rural areas like mine, that’s within 5 miles :lol:), so I’ll be getting over there to get pics of the new additions to the herd.
Just dropping by on EC, but wanted to tell you your pictures are great!! I wish I had that kind of talent!
