My puppy found this in the yard today. Since I don't know which mushrooms are safe to eat and which aren't I shooed him away from this, then noticed the creature that wasn't so shy about it!

It must be my eyes but I cannot spot the ‘creature’, unless that brown thingy going up the stalk is a worm or small snake.
