Travelin’ Show

This little guy was singing his heart out this afternoon when the sun came out after a rainy morning. Guess he was as happy as I was to see it.

Had some goldfinches, one brave house finch and a bunch of common sparrows fighting over the feeder today.

Loves my suet feeder! He’s been gorging himself for quite awhile this afternoon while his mate sits in the burning bush keeping an eye out for predators. The mockingbird that has the suet feeder staked out as his personal feeding station is giving him the eye and I expect to see him chase the wren [...]

I often see wild turkeys as I drive down my road, but seem to never have my camera with me! This guy was part of a rather large flock most of which disappeared into the woods. Guess he was chosen to be the goat this time

The cardinals seem to have extra bright plumage this year! They looked particularly scruffy this summer with the hot, dry weather, so guess the cooler, wetter weather we’re having this fall is helping them get rid of their parasites and grow some extra gorgeous feathers!
