This is an adult 5 banded skink. When young, they are an iridescent blue color. They are rather shy, so getting this shot was lucky.  

I occasionally see hawks perching on power lines as I drive through the country and this morning I had my camera with me for once. I spotted this guy and he stuck around long enough for me to get some decent photos of him. He’s a young Broad Wing Hawk.

This little guy looks itchy! He’s pulling the skin that he’s shed off his legs.  

These babies are filling up that little nest! If they get much bigger, they’ll fall out!
